My Miami
Week
For the second year in a row, the Fourth Grade
Class participated in a week dedicated to getting
to know all about Miami. This year, the fourth
graders visited the Everglades, the South
Florida Historical Museum, and the Museum of
Science and Planetarium.
By dedicating time to learning about Miami
and its surrounding areas, they are exposed to
their city and learn to appreciate and value its
culture and beauty. Desiree Reina-Ortiz
expressed ho# much she enjoyed My Miami
Week by saying, “I learned so many things
about Miami...But the best part were the
alligators in the Everglades. They were huge!”
