Think about times you do not feel a sense of control.
1. What can you control at those times? (E.g. You can practise to react in a
solution-focused ay rather than the overwhelm causing you to switch off).
2. What can you influence at those times?
➢ Can you influence your environment (e.g. the noise levels by wearing
noise cancellation buds or the heat by taking off a jumper)
➢ Can you influence the support you receive e.g. being able to use a quiet
room for some tasks.
➢ Can you influence how easy it is for you? (E.g. asking for topics and
materials ahead of time, letting people know how you learn at your best
ahead of time).
