P. 18
We can use Growth Zones to feel and do better by:
Collect things into your Comfort Zone. Don’t leave it to chance – decide what
1 you want in your Comfort Zone and ask people around you for help, if you need it.
Practise until they feel easier and more comfortable.
Track your Comfort Zone growth! Keep a list or add photos each time.
Plan ‘Dopamine Doses’ – plan baby steps so you feel a sense of achievement
2 regularly. This will mean plentiful ‘Feel Good Chemicals’ are released into your
system. When this happens day after day, your ‘Balance of Life’ will be skewed
towards resilience.
3 Practise tolerating the unpleasant feeling of Growth Stress- that feeling when a
task is tough and challenging, and we don’t feel we can do it … yet.
Avoid the Danger Brain Panic Zone – by chunking goals into steps and letting
4 people know when things are too much or too big a step, you can avoid spending
time in the Danger Brain Panic Zone.
