KEY MESSAGE 11: a neurodiverse profile means ‘abilities are out of
balance’.
▪ A neurodiverse child may have great strengths: they may be great at football,
talking (and arguing!) or constructing and mending, yet find it really difficult to
write things down or read and process information. They may find it hard to
focus attention, remember instructions or manage energy and emotions.
