audiologist next week and he is very glad about this. He is
very worried about his tinnitus and the impact it will have on
his ability to fly. It is making him really tired and headachy.
He wants to have an indication of where he will be with
regards to the CAA. His bones are healing well and he is
recovering movement in his hand. Have we heard from
Defs? KEA advising that likely to take months rather than
weeks to do accident report and we have not heard anything
further from them. Slgve would like to ask for an interim
payment if they admit liability. He discussed this with 5MB.
As he is not getting his flight allowance things are very tight.
He is paid £130k p/a and has a flight allowance of around
Uk p/m (gross). Out of this he has to pay high maintenance
to his ex-wife for his 2 children and lives with his partner and
her 4 children so they have high living costs. KEA advising we
will need to supply receipts/ his pay slips/ contract in order
to justify an interim payment. He has these and will send
them in. Usually he flies for 10-10.S months of the year
because of the time off he is given as a pilot. The flight .
allowance is probably around £800 for each of those months
after tax, NI and pension contribution.
