accountants, internal auditors, to the American Society for
Industrial Security. Institute of Bankers, Bank Administration
Institute. London and City University Business Schools. Harvard
Advanced Management Groups. Stanford University and to the
legal profession and government departments.
His programme on "Corporate Fraud" ran - at least twice a year -
for over 35 years and has been appraised by over 95% of the
thousands of participants as "excellent" or "very good".
He was a major contributor and consultant to BBC TVs Money
Programme-"The Fraud Machine" which is believed to be the
first and only programme which successfully accepted the
challenge to detect computer fraud, live on television
He served as Visiting Professor at Cranfield University and as Academia & Professional
Honorary Visiting Fellow at the Scarman Centre, UniVEnity of
Leicester.
He is past President of the European Chapter of the Association of
Certied Fraud Examiners and ex-Chairman of the American
Society of Industrial Security's Committee on Fraud. He is a
member of MENSA and the International Association of Forensic
Linguists. He was a Fellow and member of the Board of Governors
of the Institute of Professional Investigators.
He was the founding Editor of the "Computer Fraud and Security Publications
Bulletin" which he edited for eight years. He has written nine
books on fraud. corruption and forensic linguistics which have
been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, German, Thai, Russian
and Chinese.
"Corporate Fraud Ill" was released by Gower Publications Ltd in
August 1997 and has become a best seller. The book was
extensively referenced by the Treadway Commission in
developing its COSO standards.
In February 2003 Gower published "Investigating Corporate
Fraud" which was reviewed by Professional Security magazine as a
"masterpiece" and "a survival guide for businesses".
ln March 2004, Gower published the ground-breaking book "An
HR Guide to Workplace Fraud and Criminal Behaviour" and later
"Deception@Worlc" which deals with bad lies in business and how
they can be countered.
In April 2013, Gower published his treatise on Bribery and
Corruption which exposes the misdirection of regulation and
compliance and sets out a manifesto for inspiring integrity ..
