The king was very curious about the

clothes and hired the two weavers. He gave

the weavers lots of gold fabric, buttons and

thread. The weavers hid these gold items in

their bag and pretended to weave.

The king sent his minister to see if

his new clothes were finished. The minister

entered the room and was surprised to

discover that he could not see the clothes

that the weavers were weaving. The

minister did not want to admit that he could

not see it because he was afraid that the

king would think he was a fool.

Of course, there were no real clothes

because the weavers were only pretending

to weave. But the minister told the king,
