Digestive System

Function:
  Digestion (Breaking down)

   Converting the complex food
   into simpler substances, so they
   can be used by the cells
   to get energy and grow.
   (in cellular respiration)

Absorption (Extract nutrients)

      Some nutrients are used at once and others are stored as sugar & fats.
      Liver and muscles store glucose and convert it into glycogen.

         Liver and muscles convert glycogen again into glucose when your
                     body needs energy “may be a danger situation”
