COMPETING EMPLOYMENT
Accepting employment with, or compensation from, those doing business with Footprint, or an employer that is a
competitor of Footprint, or engaging in a business or activity that interferes with your independence of judgment or
performance of duties for Footprint may constitute a conflict of interest. If you have accepted such employment,
please notify your immediate supervisor and/or Human Resources.
While the Company does not prohibit employees from holding other jobs, the following types of outside employment
are prohibited:
• Employment that conflicts with the employee’s work schedule, duties and responsibilities or creates an actual
conflict of interest;
• Employment that impairs or has a detrimental effect on the employee’s work performance with Footprint;
• Employment that requires employees to conduct work or related activities during working times or use any
of the Footprint’s tools, materials, or equipment; and
• Employment that directly or indirectly competes with the business of Footprint.
For the purposes of this policy, self-employment is considered outside employment.
The Company will not assume any responsibility for employees’ outside employment. Specifically, the Company will
not provide workers’ compensation coverage or any other benefit for injuries occurring from, or arising out of, such
outside employment.
PERSONAL APPEARANCE AND DRESS
Footprint always requires all employees to maintain a clean and professional appearance. Footprint employees are
expected to use good judgment with personal appearance and hygiene to ensure clothing and grooming is
appropriate for their work environment. Employees should avoid extremes in personal grooming and dress. In order
to present a professional image, while also ensuring a safe and productive work environment, the following guidelines
apply to all employees:
• Wear clean, properly fitting clothing or uniforms that are approved by the site. Employees may be asked to
return home and change into appropriate attire if they arrive at work inappropriately dressed or groomed.
• Employees should wear their current work identification badge when working.
• Shoes should be low-heeled, with a rubber sole and a closed heel and toe.
• Do not wear dangling or loose jewelry.
• Limit the use of perfumes and colognes.
EMPLOYEE’S PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Employees should maintain an uncluttered work area. Employees who work in offices may display or store a
reasonable number of small photographs, pictures and other personal belongings that are of the size and type
appropriate for offices and appropriate for the size and type of office space the employee occupies. Personal
belongings may not be displayed in work or public areas. Footprint reserves the right to require employees to remove
personal belongings at its sole discretion. Personal belongings must not violate Company rules and may not include
material that is discriminatory, harassing, violent or threatening.
INSPECTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY, EQUUPTMENT AND VEHICLES
All persons on Company property or who are performing services on a Company project, and all property, equipment,
and vehicles on Company property or being used in connection with the performance of work on a Company project
(including, but not limited to, all vehicles, containers, desks, and file cabinets), are subject to unannounced inspection
by the Company. You should not expect that any property or items that you bring to work with you or that you use at
work are private. If you do not want any property or items inspected, do not bring them to work.
