Page 10, May 10. 1973, PHOENIXMarvin Will Head Ecology GroupCitizens for a Better New York (CBNY), environmeniai group that has operated re-cycling centers here in recent years, has named Benjamin Marvin, of Brooklyn Heights, its new President, succeeding Sherry Koehler, of Cobble Hill, who served for the past three years.Other officers selected include Bennette Kramer (Cobble Hill), who will serve as Administrative Assistant to Marvin; Ellen Grove (Brooklyn Heights), Recording Secretary; Nick Wilder (Boerum Hill i, who will continue to serve asTreasurer; and Tess McKellen (Cob'uie Hiii), who will continue as CBNY%u2019s Representative to the B rooklyn E n v iro n m e n ta l Coalition. Ken Rush (Boerum Hill; was named General Supervisor of the CBNY Re-cycling Center on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.At a general meeting earlier this year, CBNY members named lo people to a new and expanded executive board for 1973-74, in order to allow CBNY to undertake more environmental projects. The members of the Board, in addition to the above-named officers, are:Prof. Jeanne Holker, Asst. Prof, center. Now that the center is has asked the residents ofDaioara uuiiiison, Jeff SueiiiOii, Carol Brownell, Alex Wohlgemuth (all Brooklyn Heights); Pat Archibald, Sherry Koehler, Maggi Livingston (Cobble Hill); Susan Detrich, Eileen Jones (from Boerum Hill); Peter Drago and Sal Ferraioli (from Carroll Gardens).At the first meeting after taking over as President, Marvin expressed his ideas on the group%u2019s future course. He explained: %u201cFor the past year or so, CBNY%u2019s major project has been the re-cycling* Uiiiiiiig smooth!yr I d like to &<66 CBNY become actively involved in other environmental projects, such as the Gowanus Canal. We have some excellent people on the Board-people who know how to get things done.
