                                    Coalitions Raises FundsThe ATURA Coalition, a group that is opposing the Atlantic Terminal mixed-usedevelopment held its second monthlymeeting at the Brooklyn Arms Hotel Dec. 3 and agreed io raise money io support an environmental lawsuit against the project.The fundraising campaign, according toco-chair Ted Glick, will include a benefit playin the future and an outreach into the community for donations. Community outreach,education and demonstrations were alsodiscussed that night as priorities. The groupis opposing the accuracy of the project%u2019s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).Officers were also elected that night. Theyinclude: Ted Glick, former chair of the coalition, will now co-chair the group with MildredDavis; Ron Ashford of Latimer-Woods LocalDevelopment Corporation who was electedtreasurer; and Lawanda Carter, a memberof Parents on the Move, a resident group atthe Brooklyn Arms Hotel, who was electedrecording secretary.Christmas In Red HookThe traditional Holiday Fest, sponsored byAbraham and Straus in cooperation with thePark Slope Civic Council and the ProspectPark Administrator%u2019s Office will fill the air atthe Picnic House with songs and holidaycheer on December 14, from 2-3pm.The Clearwater Walkabout Chorus willbegin the program with a performance ofChristmas choral music. Featured artists,the Children%u2019s Choir from the InstitutionalChurch of God, will follow with inspirationalholiday music. The program will end with agroup sing-along. When Santa and his elvesnrrive, the Urban Park Rangers will be onhand to assist and children will be treated tocandy canes as well as hot chocolate andcookies donated by Sweetzels.
