Wells, Union Baptist Church, New York; and Dr. Mitchell Mallete, Greater Second Baptist, Freeport.For information, call 638-5227.St. Ann%u2019s Plans ATribute To LibertyA multi-media presentation featuring Charles Ives%u2019 \slide images of the Statue of Liberty projected on a large screen will be part of a Sunday morning service with the theme of liberty at 11am, July 6 at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Clinton and Montague Streets.The slides are from %u201cThe Statue%u2019s Story,%u201d produced by John J. Cashman, a New York City policeman, who has presented his program widely. The organist is Julian Goodwin, a Brooklyn Heights resident who has performed in recitals throughout the New York area. Ives wrote his his now-famous %u201cVariations on America%u201d at age 13 and later he played them in recitals in Brooklyn and New Jersey churches in 1899. Also featured in the service will be pieces by the Nineteenth CenRev. Curtis L. W hitney, and his wife, Mrs.Ruth Whitney, at Union TheologicalSeminary in Manhattan when he receivedhis M aster of Divinity degree in May.tury organists John Zundel (1815-1882) organist of Plymouth Church, Dudley Buck (1839-1909) organist first at St. Ann%u2019s, then for 25 years at Holy Trinity, and one year at Plymouth Church, and Samuel Priestly Taylor (17779-1875), organist of Holy Trinity for many years.
