Tony Terry from Willoughby Street became loud and abusive after a bike tube that he said was defective would not be replaced at the store. He threatened the attendant with bodily harm and forced his way behind the counter, knocking the cashier to the floor and pushed the attendant against the counter and struck him across the chest, police said. P.O. Devlin from the 84th Precinct made the arrest.SNATCH ATTEMPT: Two men riding on a bike at 35 Pineapple Street on July 20 at 8:10pm grabbed the shoulder bag of a 59-year old woman, pulling her to the ground. The woman received injuries to her right arm and chest. The two left on their bike with nothing.CLOTH BELT: A 31-year old woman was pulled into an alley after a man standing at 346 Dean Street asked her for a light. When she complied he put a cloth belt around her and dragged her into the alleyway and told her not to say anything. When the perpetrator loosened the belt she pushed him and ran from the alley. The incident took place on July 22 at 2:50am.YORK STATION: A 58-year old man was approached by three men while waiting for the subway on July 23 at 9:45am. One of the men covered the closed circuit camera with his jacked while another pulled out a knife and demanded money. The three escaped with $130.THREE BURGLARS: Officer Galanis of the 78th precinct arrested three people for burglarizing an apartment at 150 St. Johns Street, July 23rd at 12:30pm. The two are still at large.SAVED BY WITNESS: A 42-year-old man was walking on Carleton St. between Park and Myrtle Aves. when he was approached by another man, 20 years old, black, 6%u2019 6%u201d, 160 lbs., short hair with a moustache. This perpetrator began beating him with his fists, threw him to the ground, then took $8 and a brown leather briefcase. The victim ran towards Park Ave. screaming for help, where a witness saw him and took him into his car. The mugger followed his victim to the car, and began banging on the windows and body of the car, shouting that he would kill the man. The witness drove the man to a police officer at N. Portland St. and Park Ave. This occurred at 3:03am on July 19.RAPE AND ROBBERY: A 28-year-old woman was coming home from a nightclub and hailed a green and white livery cab to take her to her house, at the comer of Jefferson and Bedford Aves. This was at 5am on July 18. The driver was about 32 years old, male, 6%u2019 1%u201d, 210 lbs., short hair, with a foreign accent, police say. The victim hailed the cab at Jefferson and Bedford Aves., giving the driver her address, but the driver didn%u2019t answer, and instead took her to Grand and Lexington Aves. He used the power locks to keep her in the back seat. He went into the back seat himself, and slapped her. He then announced his intention to rape her. He made her remove her clothes at knifepoint, then raped her twice.
