Informally known as The Bessies, after renowned compostion teacher Bessie Schonberg, the evening will feature highlights of the season and other provocative works, and the presentation of 28 awards by distinguished members of the performing arts community. The awards have been established through a special grant from the Morgan Guaranty Trust Compay%u2019s %u201cIndividual Artist Fund.%u201dSCHOOL CONCERTS: The Sunset Park School of Music will present two public concerts next week. Students of the New York City Youth Bureau Program will perform the operetta %u201cThree Little Pigs,%u201d on August 7 at 10am. They will also perform various choral and instrumental selections, Students of Marce Rizo and the South American Music Project will perform a concert of Latin music on August 8 at 10:30am. Both are at the gymnasium of the Marien-Heim Building, 4520 Fourth Avenue. Admission is free.
