Paper andTwine Manufacturers corrogated boxes andwill relocate three jobs to Brooklyn using agrant of $14,048, and apparel manufacturerNigritex Sportswear will bring 14 jobs herewith a grant of $75,667.Brooklyn. ___________________meThe Financial Services Corporation willalso grant energy savings to severalBrooklyn firms that opt to stay in or moveto the borough. A. Koachendorfer, Inc., ametal-grinding establishment rill save anestimated $642 per month and keep 19 jobsin Brooklyn. Able National Corporation, apaper products finisher will save $205 amonth for keeping 15 jobs in Brooklyn.Chatham Cleaners, a uniform rental concern will save $707 per month and keep 65jobs here. An apparel subcontractor, IndigsHeating and Stitching Company will keep25 jobs in the borough and save $396 permonth. The Manhattan Fur Dressing Corp.,skin and pelt dressers, will save $1,760 permonth to keep 124 jobs in Brooklyn. ApparelDistributor Michael Carrie, Inc., will save$220 a month to keep 25 jobs in Brooklyn;and Studio Reproduction Corp., a fabricprinter will keep eight jobs here and save$120 per month. Savings on electricity andgas bills are available to companies thatrelocate in the outer boroughs, or inManhattan above 96th Street. Savings areup to 30 percent.Printers Get LoansTwo printers will purchase facilities inBrooklyn using loans from the City%u2019sRevolving Loan Fund, administered by theNew York City Financial Services Corporation.Balan Printing, Inc., received a $220,000loan to assist in purchasing its plant inBrooklyn. Some 89 jobs will be retained,and an additional 19 are expected to becreated within three years.Foil Designs Printing Corporation, aspecialty printing company in Manhattan,will move to Brooklyn to purchase a 16,000square foot building. A $210,000 belowmarket rate will help bring 16 jobs toBrooklyn and create five jobs during thenext three years.More Work For CityNew York City Comptroller Harrison J.Goldin has just released his latest monthlybriefing paper on the City%u2019s finances andeconomy.Although payroll employment continuesto increase, many of those jobs are againbeing taken by commuters, he says. Payrollemployment grew to 3,560,M0 jobs in June,1986, a 2.3% gain over June, 1985. This is the30th consecutive month payroll employmenthas increased over the same month in theprior year.%u25a0-*%u2019 However, resident employment dipped inJuly to 2,971,000, off 1.9% from July of lastyear. This is the third time in the last fourmonths that resident employment has declined on an annual basis. Unemploymentwas 7.9% in July, up from 6.9% a yearearlier.
