Compensation Reform, ACA “repeal” prior to heading to
the Capitol to meet with legislators.
From a personal standpoint I have been attending the
Legislative Day for at least 15 years. I have been able to
stay up to date on the issues that are key to the insurance
industry as well as explain our issues and concerns. I have
seen legislators actually listen to our position and develop
legislation to help issues pertaining to our industry. The
relationship you develop with your Legislators can make
a difference, especially when they later see you in your
community. Get engaged both by attending Leg Day and
your local legislative events, as well as participating as a
PAC participant.
