21st general election further support his claims that algorithms
designed by Chinese IT specialists might have been deployed for
manipulation, potentially using South Korea as a testing ground
            for broader applications elsewhere.

Security Vulnerabilities and Forensic Investigation Requests

Dr. Jang criticized the poor cybersecurity of the NEC claiming
that its systems are so vulnerable that even high school-level
hacking skills could breach them. He called for the seizure of
NEC servers and comprehensive digital forensic investigations
to uncover evidence of manipulation. Dr. Jang also noted
the judiciary’s reluctance to pursue sensitive election-related
investigations, exacerbating public distrust in the electoral
            process.

                      Potential Outcomes and Global Implications

Dr. Jang argued that successful forensic analysis could invalidate
the 21st general election, necessitating the dissolution of
Parliament and new elections. He emphasized that such #ndings
would be pivotal for restoring democracy in Korea and serve as
a critical warning to the international community, particularly
the United States. He underscored the universal relevance of
electoral transparency, stating, “If it happened in South Korea, it
            can happen elsewhere.”
