KCPAC Achievements





              5  October 2019: Effective Activism and Campaign Strategy & True Democracy: Criticism and Discussion on South
                Korean Politics

               • •   As part of the first ever KCPAC event held on October 3, 2019, in Seoul, the New Institute and the Leadership Institute cohosted a conservative
                politics seminar.

               • •   The seminar’s first session was titled, “Effective Activism and Election Campaign Strategy,” featuring special lectures by speakers from the Leadership
                Institute.

               • •   First, Robert Arnakis, the Senior Director of Domestic and International Programs at the Leadership Institute, gave a lecture on “Effective Activism” that
                talked about activism, grassroots movements, using social media and Facebook livestream, online journalism and social media, the facts behind digital
                media, human networking, and cyber networks, which provided a much needed strengthening of the groundwork for media activities for activists.
               • •   Also, Saul Anuzi, Principal and Managing Partner of Coast to Coast Strategies, LLC, and lecturer for the Leadership Institute, gave a lecture titled

                “Elections: The Way to Win,” where he explained identifying supporters, developing communication strategies, using and evaluating a team, and
                examples of cases from the U.S. in how to formulate a successful election campaign.

               • •   In the second session, “True Democracy: Criticism and Discussion on South Korean Politics,” well-known South Korean and international figures
                gave talks in the lecture.
               • •   First, David Eunkoo Kim, the founder of the Truth Forum, spoke on the topic of ‘The Criticism of the Political 586 Generation.’ Following Kim,

                award-winning American journalist Sara Carter spoke on the topic of ‘The Role of South Korean Political Activist.’ Lawrence Peck, a board member
                of the North Korea Freedom Coalition, and political commentator, spoke on the topic of ‘My Perspective on South Korea Today.’ Following Peck,
                Professor Eric G. Enlow, Dean and Professor of law at Handong International Law School, spoke on the topic of ‘The Education of the Young
                Generation of South Korea: Strength and Weaknesses.’


               • •   Finally, the President of New Institute, Dr. Andrew Crilly, gave the closing remarks where he shared the sentiments of all those who spoke on the
                various topics of the seminar, and stated that, “This event provided an opportunity for us to dispassionately look at the South Korean political
                situation in order for it to be reborn as a true democracy, in an objective and critical manner.”


              6  October 2019: Korea Conservative Political Action Conference (KCPAC) Launch & Sponsorship

               • •   For the first time ever, the Korean Conservative Political Action Conference (KCPAC) was held in the Republic of Korea with American conservative
                politicians and activists, such as former Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland, former U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, former
                New York State judge Jeanine Pirro, and Asia expert Gordon Chang.

               • •   As it was signed to be the official Korean partner of the American Conservative Union (ACU), it laid the groundwork for cooperation and mutual

                communication between conservative leaders and activists in both South Korea and the United States.
               • •   Held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul, the first KCPAC was attended by 1,000 participants, including many South Korean conservative leaders as
                well as former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn.
               • •   During the conference, the participants brought up the need for a proper conservative movement in South Korea and the U.S. and emphasized the role

                of a new conservative president and conservative party.
               • •   It laid the foundation for strengthening education in liberal democracy for future generations in solidarity with the global conservative camp along

                with the solid cooperation of the Korean pan-conservative camp to spread the value of liberal democracy.


              7  December 2019: Conducted Election Strategy Training for Candidates and Staff for the 21st General Election

               • •   Held at the Federation of the Korean Industries’ Conference Hall from December 13-14, 2019, New Institute Hawaii and New Institute Korea
                (founded by Annie Chan), provided educational training on conservative politics jointly with the Leadership Institute, an American conservative
                political education organization..


               • •   Koh Young-ju, co-chair of KCPAC, Dr. Lee Young-jak, John Seaton, and Alexis Darnell gave lectures on the meaning of the 21st general election,
                the role of the conservative party, and election campaigns using data, messages, and communication.
