P. 2
Dear Employees:

Another year has flown by and it’s almost time for 2021 Open Enrollment! We all know that the past several months
have come with many difficult challenges. As always, the employees at National General accepted those challenges
and demonstrated the ability to persevere and thrive under some of the most difficult of circumstances. We value our
dedicated employees and remain committed to offering a benefits package that addresses the needs of a growing and
diverse employee population.

Open Enrollment for your 2021 benefits elections will take place from November 2 through November 16, 2020. The
choices you make during this time will take effect on January 1, 2021, and remain in place for the entire calendar year.
You must elect or waive benefits through Workday during Open Enrollment. Your 2020 coverage will not carry
over to 2021. If you fail to take action, you will not have coverage in 2021 other than employer-paid benefits.
Please note that the enrollment tool in Workday will have a new look and require a slightly different process this year.
You will recall in prior years you scrolled through the benefits screens until you reached the end. This year, once in the
enrollment system, you will be required to click a tile for each benefit offering and elect or waive each individual benefit.
To ensure you have enrolled in all desired benefits with the appropriate family members covered, please print out a copy
of your elections and review immediately.

As you know, businesses continue to see health care costs rise year over year. National General continues to see this
trend, as well. The cost containment strategies within our plans continue to help us minimize the financial impact of
these rising costs. All benefits plans offered in 2020 will again be offered for the 2021 plan year at very little or no
increase to you and with no changes to the plan design (i.e. deductible limits, co-pays, out-of-pocket maximums, etc.)
We want to encourage you to continue to be an advocate of your physical, mental and financial health and hope that
you took advantage of the opportunity to receive a credit toward your medical premiums by participating in the biometric
screening and health risk assessment. Knowing your numbers can lead to a healthier state and there is no better cost
containment strategy than good health!

In this guide you will find information to assist you in selecting the best benefits options for you and your family. Please
spend a few moments reviewing the plan information, including the cost and coverage levels. You will also find
information on additional benefits and programs such as the retirement plan, employee discounts, and paid time off.

We look forward to another successful Open Enrollment campaign. Comprehensive information on our plans and partners
are available online at www.mynatgenbenefits.com.

Please email HRBenefits@ngic.com if you have questions or need assistance with the enrollment process.

Sincerely,

Nicole Pemberton Lori Shields
