DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING
DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT?
You must act if you wish to:
Enroll in a Dentons Medicare supplement, medical, dental, and/or vision plan for the first time
Change your current Medicare supplement, medical, dental, and/or vision plan election
(switch plans or waive coverage)
Change your Medicare supplement, medical, dental and/or vision plan coverage level (single,
single +1 or family)
Add a dependent to, or remove a dependent from, your current Medicare supplement,
medical, dental and/or vision plan
SPECIAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD
You may make changes to your benefit elections outside of the Open Enrollment period only when
you have a qualified change in status under IRS rules. These changes must be made within 31 days
of your qualified status change date and coverage will begin as of the date of the qualified status
event. You are responsible for notifying the benefits team of any change in your status.
Documentation may be requested for certain qualifying events.
Qualifying events include:
Marriage/divorce Death of spouse/child(ren)
Birth or adoption of child(ren) Change in employment status of self/
spouse
