Polysaccharides
Polysaccharides, also known as glycans, consist of monosaccharides joined by
glycosidic linkages.
Homopolysaccharides: Polysaccharides that are polymers of a single
monosaccharide
Heteropolysaccharides: those made up of more than one type of monosaccharide.
Example: starch, glycogen, and cellulose.
