11/5/24, 11:57 AM Red Hat's open-source solutions are driving resilience
deployments. “For us and our customers, the enterprise use cases of AI require criteria
to be met—data sovereignty being the first.”
Red Hat collaborates closely with IBM Watson and other AI partners to ensure the
effectiveness of its solutions. “We help our customers build AI solutions with their data
and train the models specifically for their needs,” Borhan notes. This approach ensures
precision and reliability, avoiding the risk of hallucination that can occur when AI relies
on generalised datasets. Red Hat’s AI offerings focus on building trustworthy systems
tailored to the logistics sector’s unique challenges.
Customisation is at the core of Red Hat’s strategy, allowing businesses to develop their
own AI tools on the OpenShift platform. “With OpenShift AI, customers can inject
generative AI into their operations to improve predictability,” Borhan emphasises. The
flexibility of Red Hat’s platforms ensures that companies can adapt AI solutions to their
operational environment, be it on-premise, in the cloud, or at the edge. This versatility
is essential for logistics firms that require scalable solutions to manage complex supply
chains.
Tackling data challenges in logistics
Managing data efficiently is a common obstacle for logistics companies, whether due
to fragmented datasets or a complete lack of structured information. Borhan
emphasises that Red Hat addresses these challenges through collaboration with its
extensive partner ecosystem. “We work with system integrators, independent software
vendors (ISVs), and cloud providers to help clients either generate synthetic data or
bring in qualified data from similar industries.”
Many companies struggle with data silos, which complicate efforts to implement AI-
driven solutions. Borhan explains that Red Hat partners not only help in generating or
