11/5/24, 11:57 AM Red Hat's open-source solutions are driving resilience
sourcing data but also in “cleaning up the data and putting it to use in AI training.” This
process is essential for building reliable AI models to make accurate predictions,
ultimately enhancing operational efficiency across the supply chain.
By leveraging open-source technology and strategic partnerships, Red Hat ensures
logistics companies can turn disorganised data into actionable insights. Borhan notes,
“With our solutions, companies can overcome the barriers of fragmented data and
ensure that their AI models are trained with high-quality, industry-specific information,”
ultimately driving better outcomes in logistics operations.
Challenges and opportunities in the region
The Middle East region presents both unique challenges and exciting opportunities for
Red Hat. Borhan emphasises that the region is at the forefront of adopting cutting-
edge technologies. “The cloud adoption in this region was the fastest compared to
Europe when cloud was becoming mainstream,” Borhan states, adding that AI adoption
is following a similar trajectory, with governments and businesses in the UAE leading
these efforts. “They are driving us to implement these technologies first in the region,”
he notes, highlighting the opportunity for Red Hat to push innovation through early
adoption.
However, operating in such a diverse region also requires Red Hat to navigate complex
regulations. “Each country has its own dynamics,” Borhan explains, noting that
compliance with local data sovereignty laws is a top priority. “We work closely with
hyperscalers and regional cloud providers to meet each country’s specific data
protection requirements.” This adaptability allows Red Hat to remain compliant while
providing customers seamless cloud services across borders.
