Sparklo, Mai Dubai join forces to boost recyc ling across UAE

Sparklo, a cleantech com pany build ing the Middle East’s most access ible smart recyc ling

eco sys tem, and Mai Dubai, a bottled water com pany in the UAE, have signed a stra tegic

agree ment to pro mote recyc ling and sup port sus tain able con sumer beha vior.

The agree ment out lines a joint ini ti at ive to install 30 AI-powered reverse vend ing
machines — also known as Spark lo mats — in high-traffic loc a tions across Dubai, Abu

Dhabi, Shar jah, Al-Ain, and Ras Al-Khaimah. The Spark lo mats will be loc ated in schools,

retail areas, and even res id en tial com munit ies — enabling people to return plastic bottles

right where they live. For every con tainer recycled, users will receive Sparklo points, which

can be redeemed for rewards, includ ing dis counts on Mai Dubai deliv ery start ing in May.

Mai Dubai products.
The sign ing cere mony, held at Mai Dubai headquar ters on April 21, was atten ded by Maxim
Kaplevich, CEO of Sparklo, and Abra ham Kah, CEO of Mai Dubai LLC. Dur ing the event,

Sparklo presen ted the first-ever Mai Dubaibranded Spark lo mat, mark ing the sym bolic

start of the rol lout.

“This part ner ship fully reflects Sparklo’s mis sion: to bring every bottle back into the eco -
nomy by mak ing recyc ling easy, access ible, and reward ing,” said Kaplevich, founder and

CEO of Sparklo. “It’s our first col lab or a tion with a bottled water brand that not only
ensures bottles are recycled, but also rewards

people for doing so — and we are proud it’s hap pen ing in our home mar ket, the UAE.”

com bin ing innov a tion, busi ness col lab or a tion, and real world impact. To date, Sparklo has

col lec ted more than 90 mil lion plastic and alu minum con tain ers across the MENA region
— over 81 mil lion in the UAE alone.
