Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the GCAA Board, said the
adoption marks “a significant step that reflects the UAE’s firm commitment to global climate action and sustainable
innovation.”

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, added that the plan “provides a clear strategic

pathway to reduce emissions through 2050 via tangible projects and advanced policies.”

With this submission, the UAE continues to position itself at the forefront of global aviation sustainability, aligning
economic progress with environmental responsibility.
