Published: Tuesday, October 7, 2025, 15:21 [GST] The UAE has presented the third edition of its State Action Plan to Reduce Aviation
Emissions to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) at the 42nd ICAO Assembly in Montreal, Canada. This plan, approved by the UAE

Cabinet, was developed with input from key aviation stakeholders to support global climate commitments and ensure sustainable growth in the
        aviation sector.

Since 2010, the UAE has been a leader in submitting national plans to cut aviation emissions, aligning with ICAO Assembly resolutions. These efforts
have encouraged related sectors like energy to adopt innovative emission-reducing solutions. The first plan was submitted in 2012, making the UAE
a regional pioneer, followed by an updated version in 2018.

The latest update highlights the UAE's proactive approach to global climate action and its commitment to reducing aviation emissions. This aligns
with ICAO Assembly Resolution A37-19 (2010) and subsequent resolutions. The plan includes a comprehensive "basket of measures" featuring 42
projects in operations and technology, alongside 13 projects focused on sustainable aviation fuel and low-carbon fuels.

These initiatives were developed with leading national entities such as the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Masdar, ADNOC, ENOC,

Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS), Abu Dhabi Airports, Dubai Airports, Sharjah International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah Civil Aviation Authority,
