UAE Boosts Patent Registration With New IP

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken another big step to grow its knowledge economy.
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai
Science Park, part of Tecom Group. This deal will improve cooperation in intellectual property (IP)
protection and patent registration.

The agreement shows the UAE’s vision to become a global leader in innovation, research, and IP rights
protection. It will also help speed up patent approvals, safeguard creators, and attract more innovators to
the country.
