UAE schools roll out AI curriculum amid teacher shortage | AGBI
“The issue is even more pronounced in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
subjects, where the supply of qualified educators continues to fall short of growing demand,” said
Nilesh Korgaonkar, CEO of Dubai-based edtech firm ATLAB.

Rising living costs in Dubai are also adding pressure. Taaleem Holdings, one of the UAE’s largest

school operators, reported a jump of AED105.7 million ($28.8 million) in operating expenses during
the first nine months of the 2024-25 fiscal year.

The increase was largely driven by higher staff costs and growing school supply needs.
