and Extending the Term of Housing Loans to ease the financial burden

on caregivers by providing an additional five years to repay loans.

Additionally, the initiative offers Flexible Work Systems for Parents and

Caregivers, allowing caregivers to balance their personal, professional, and

social responsibilities while effectively caring for their elderly relatives.

Sheikh Khaled endorsed the services and programs under the initiative,

which have been implemented by several key social sector entities,

including the Department of Community Development, the Family

Development Foundation, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, the

Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Department of

Government Enablement, and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre.

The initiative’s services aim to reinforce family cohesion while improving

caregivers’ ability to support their senior relatives, creating a more united

and harmonious society.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized that the care for senior citizens is a deeply

rooted value in the UAE, one that instills respect for the sacrifices made by

the elders of the nation.

At the launch, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al

Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, His

Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor

to the UAE President, His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of

the Department of Municipalities and Transport, His Excellency Ahmed

Tamim Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Enablement,

and other officials were in attendance.
