suspending work on Fridays. The significant initiative will be implemented from August 12 to
September 30.

The move by DGHR mainly aims to elevate employee wellbeing by improving their social life and
workplace safety during the summer period for better work-life balance. As part of the launch,

authorities conducted a survey to understand the opinions of various government entities and their
willingness to reduce working hours. Notably, the proposal secured exceptional support through the

survey. In order to create a final report summarising the initiative’s outcomes, DGHR will evaluate the
feedback on a regular basis.

"The initiative aims to enhance employees’ quality of life and promote sustainable use of government
resources, positioning Dubai as the ideal city for a superior lifestyle," said Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al

Falasi, Director General of DGHR, in a statement.
