His Excellency Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of ADCMC, said that this campaign is a big
step in making people more aware and ready for weather-related dangers. He explained that it shows
how important every person is in responding to disasters. He also said that this campaign is a team
effort involving many government offices. It helps people understand that getting ready for
emergencies is very important to protect lives and property.
He added that the campaign follows His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s plan for
the Year of the Community, under the theme "Hand in Hand."** This means that the country is focusing
on working together, helping each other, and staying united. He also said that ADCMC wants Abu
Dhabi to be a leader in emergency preparedness, making sure people know how to react in risky
situations.
His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of DoE, said that this campaign is a
result of many groups working together. The goal is to **keep basic services like electricity and water
running, even during emergencies. He also said that **strong teamwork with partners** will help
ensure that energy and water services do not stop during a crisis.
He explained that the government and energy companies are sharing safety tips through TV,
newspapers, and social media. This way, many people can learn what to do in an emergency. He also
said that using modern technology to share messages helps people stay informed and follow the right
steps to stay safe and protect their homes.
Brigadier General Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu
Dhabi Police (ADP), said that road safety is very important, especially during bad weather. He
explained that police are working with other groups to teach drivers how to be safer on the roads.
As part of the campaign, people will learn about driving safely in fog, rain, and dust storms. They will
also be reminded to **follow speed limits, keep a safe distance from other cars, and watch for digital
road signs that warn about dangerous weather conditions.
His Excellency Dr. Salem Al Kaabi, Director General of DMT, said that his department is fully prepared
to deal with extreme weather. He explained that DMT’s job is to take care of roads, public transport,
and city services.
He also said that raising awareness and giving people the right information is very important to help
them stay safe. He added that Abu Dhabi is known for being one of the best places in the world when
it comes to disaster management. This campaign will make sure people **know what to do before,
during, and after bad weather.
The campaign will not only teach people about weather safety but also provide practical training. For
example, there will be lessons on driving safely in fog and heavy rain. People will also learn about new
technology that helps predict bad weather so they can prepare ahead of time.
ADCMC is committed to working with government and private groups to create better emergency
plans. The campaign is an important step in keeping Abu Dhabi safe and strong in times of crisis. By
spreading knowledge and encouraging people to prepare, this campaign will help protect lives,
property, and essential services.
