procedures and provide high-quality services for innovators, thereby supporting the UAE’s business environment. The goal
is to create a supportive atmosphere for innovation and investment in technology-based sectors.
The joint statement outlines mechanisms for recognising positive examination results from the USPTO for corresponding
Emirati patent applications. This will be done following national laws. The cooperation represents a significant step towards
accelerating patent issuance through strengthened international collaboration and advanced operational models.
Al Marri highlighted that this partnership with the US is a new push towards faster patent issuance. It aims to ensure
efficient protection for inventors and entrepreneurs, fostering an encouraging environment for innovation. This move also
enhances the UAE’s readiness for a future driven by creativity and knowledge-based economies.
