Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, emphasized that this collaboration is a strategic

supports industrial property development and will significantly reduce the time required to grant patents,
offering greater protection and incentives for innovators and entrepreneurs.

He noted that this strategic partnership will encourage more knowledge-based investments, helping to cement

the UAE’s position as a regional leader in IP protection. The move is aligned with the country’s broader vision of
fostering a creativity-driven economy and supporting startups and technological innovation.

This bilateral programme is part of the UAE Ministry’s larger agenda to modernize its industrial property
system, simplify registration procedures, and provide world-class IP services. These reforms are essential to
attract global innovators and ensure a robust business environment powered by intellectual assets.
