The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States of America (USA)

have signed a Joint Statement of Intent (JSI) aimed at launching a bilateral

cooperation program to accelerate patent-granting procedures in the UAE.

This took place on the sidelines of the 66th Assemblies of the Member States of

the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva.
