According to the joint statement, signed by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism

and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the program

provides collaborative mechanisms to recognize positive examination results

issued by the USPTO for corresponding Emirati patent applications. This will be

implemented in accordance with applicable national laws.
