Minister bin Touq emphasized the UAE’s ongoing commitment to building a robust, future-ready IP
ecosystem and deepening international collaboration.
He noted that partnerships with Spain and Morocco mark a significant step in technical knowledge

These strategic agreements reflect the UAE’s broader vision to foster innovation, protect intellectual
property rights, and create a more efficient and globally integrated IP environment.
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism of the UAE is responsible for shaping and implementing the
country’s economic and tourism strategies. Its primary role is to foster a competitive, diversified, and
sustainable national economy while positioning the UAE as a leading global destination for business and
tourism.
The Ministry formulates national economic policies to promote growth across non-oil sectors and achieve
long-term sustainable development, aligned with the UAE’s strategic visions such as UAE Vision 2031.
It supports foreign direct investment and works to strengthen the UAE’s reputation as a global investment
hub.
In addition to economic planning, the Ministry oversees the regulation of business activities, intellectual
property rights, consumer protection, and competition laws. It manages commercial registration and
