Spain and Morocco

The UAE has signed two new agreements with Spain and Morocco to boost cooperation on
intellectual property development, reinforcing its commitment to global best practices in
innovation and rights protection.
The Memoranda of Understanding were signed by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism with
the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial
Property Office. The signings took place during the UAE delegation’s participation in the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) meetings in Geneva, attended by Minister Abdullah
bin Touq Al Marri.
