In a significant stride towards fostering international collaboration in intellectual property (IP), the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
has formalized two agreements with Spain and Morocco. These accords are designed to enhance cooperation in the realm of
intellectual property development, underscoring the UAE’s unwavering commitment to adopting globally recognized best
practices in innovation and the protection of intellectual rights.
The Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were formalized by the UAE’s Ministry of Economy and Tourism in an auspicious
setting during the ongoing World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) meetings held in Geneva. The event marked a
crucial milestone for the UAE, with Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri leading the delegation and participating in discussions
that are pivotal for the future of intellectual property governance.
