Abu Dhabi: The Family Development Foundation (FDF has unveiled a new guide titled ‘Let Us Protect Our Elders with
Love.’ The guide was introduced during a press conference at the FDF Center in Abu Dhabi in alignment with World
Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The launch was held under the directives of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s
Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of FDF.
The guide aims to raise public awareness about the importance of offering respectful, compassionate care for senior
citizens. It highlights key values like inclusion, appreciation, and active engagement of elderly people within families
and communities. The initiative also seeks to strengthen loyalty, gratitude, and intergenerational solidarity across
society.
