H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, has issued a statement honoring Union
Pledge Day, a national occasion deeply rooted in the history and spirit of the United Arab
Emirates. The day commemorates the signing of the Union Document and the Constitution by
the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, alongside his fellow Rulers – an
act that formally established the UAE.
In his message, H.E. Dr. Al Falasi emphasized the enduring significance of Union Pledge Day as a
symbol of loyalty, belonging and national pride:
This day remains etched in our memory as a symbol of loyalty, belonging, and dedication to a
nation that knows no limits.
He reaffirmed the UAE’s ongoing commitment to uphold the founding principles
of unity and prosperity, and pledged to continue advancing the country’s global competitiveness
under the leadership’s vision, which puts people at the heart of development.
