DUBAI: The Min istry of Sports con vened the second ‘Cus tomer Coun cils’ ses sion of 2025, as part
of its com mit ment to strength en ing part ner ships with private sec tor sports organ isa tions and national fed er a tions.
In line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vis ion under the ‘For ward Eco sys tem’ pil lar, the ses sion
sought to advance the goals of the Zero Bur eau cracy pro gramme by improv ing the qual ity of
sports ser vices provided to cus tom ers, as well as stream lin ing sports licens ing ser vices.
Held at the Oxy gen Gym in Dubai, the second edi tion of the coun cil was aten ded by spe cial ised
teams from the Min istry of Sports and over 30 rep res ent at ives from the National Para lympic
Com mitee, Dubai Sports Coun cil, Shar jah Sports Coun cil,and fu jair ah mu ni cip al ity,andvari ouss -
ports clubs, private sports centres and sports fed er a tions.
The Min istry of Sports emphas ized that the second Cus tomer Coun cils of 2025 reflec ted the
Min istry’s aim to pro mote a cus tomer-driven approach in ser vice design.
As a vital part of the long-term growth and devel op ment of the sport ing eco sys tem, we highly
pri or it ise enhan cing the private sec tor’s con tri bu tions to the advance ment of sport ing activ it ies.
“We believe that cus tom ers are best equipped to identify chal lenges and present ideas that elev -
ate ser vices.
“In line with this, we are com mited to hold ing ‘Cus tomer Coun cils’ as open and dir ect for ums for
cre ativ ity and innov a tion, pla cing the cus tomer at the fore front of devel op ment pro cesses.
In an effort to stream line the pro cess, the Min istry high lighted that the elim in a tion of redund -
ant doc u ment a tion and require ments, which reduces the num ber of data fields needed to obtain
ser vices, as well as the use of state-of-the-art tech no lo gies in the Spor ti fai pla form.
“It fur ther reaf firmed that the Min istry’s goal to deliver an integ rated and smart exper i ence that
enhances cus tomer sat is fac tion, elev ates per form ance effi ciency, and strengthens insti tu tional
gov ernance frame worksin then a tion alsportssector.
Par ti cipants emphas ised the sig ni fic ance of hold ing these coun cils on a reg u lar basis, as they
serve as an ideal prac tical pla form for exchan ging exper i ences and ideas, accel er at ing ser vice
improve ments,encour agin gin nov a tion in thes ports sec tor, and estab lish ing an effi cient and sus -
tain able sports envir on ment. They also com men ded the Min istry’s com mit ment towards the
ini ti at ive and its efforts to strengthen the sport ing eco sys tem.
Fol low ing the ses sion, spe cial ised work teams within the Min istry reviewed and ana lysed the
feed back and sug ges tions made by rep res ent at ives of sports organ isa tions to cat egor ise these
insights and pin point any pos sible gaps in ser vice deliv ery.
