Spain strengthens bilateral relations with the United Arab
Emirates and promotes the presence of Spanish companies in
the Middle East.
Economy, Trade and Business - 3.6.2025
Both parties have supported strengthening trade and investment relations, particularly in sectors related to sustainable
mobility, green energy, technological innovation, and agribusiness, as well as promoting greater business presence at trade
fairs.

The Minister of Economy, Trade, and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo, along with the Minister of Economy of the
United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, chaired the fifth Joint Economic Commission between
the two countries. At this meeting, they discussed the economic situation in their countries and global
challenges. They highlighted the positive momentum of bilateral trade and economic relations and reaffirmed
their commitment to continue strengthening these ties and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
Along these lines, both parties committed to strengthening relations in sectors related to sustainable mobility,
green energy, technological innovation, with a particular focus on aerospace and defense technology, and
agribusiness and food security.
