This year’s edition of World of Coffee focuses on sustainability

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, today
(Sunday January 21, 2024), inaugurated the 3rd edition of World of Coffee Dubai 2024, organized by
DXB Live, the integrated event management agency and experiential exhibition at the Dubai World
Trade Centre, in collaboration with the International Specialty Coffee Association. The exhibition will
last until January 23, 2024, with the participation of more than 1,650 local, regional and global
brands and companies, with a 50% increase in its space. This year, the exhibition assumes
particular significance in light of the vast global interest from 51 countries to participate in its various
activities.

HE Bin Touq, accompanied by HE Timur Abdiljalil, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Dubai
and the Northern Emirates and Khalid Al Hammadi, Senior Vice President of DXB Live, as well as
Yannis Apostolopoulos, Managing Director of Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), visited the
pavilions presented in the exhibition. He praised the impressive influx of visitors and the large
participation of brands and exhibitors from around the world. He praised the efficient organization of
the event and praised the hard work of the teams involved.

During his visit, HE Bin Touq also visited the Roosters Village, Cupping Room and Brew Bar
pavilions, thoroughly inspecting the preparations for the upcoming UAE National Barista and Latte
Art Championships 2024. The competitions offer participants the chance to qualify for the prestigious
World Barista Championship. In addition, HE Bin Touq observed the preparations for the Coffee
Design Awards and the Best New Product Awards.
