the  date  was  chosen  in  memory  of  the  Italian  painter,  sculptor,  architect,
               inventor  and  humanist  Leonardo da  Vinci  (April  15,  1452  –  May  2,  1519),

               considered a symbol of free expression, a visionary in the world of arts



               – "World Diabetes Diagnosis Day"; By marking this day, attention is drawn to
               the  increasing  increase  in  diabetes  diseases.  NOTE:  November  14  marks
               "World Diabetes Day"



               – "Patriot's Day" has been marked since 1897 (only in some states of America

               – Maine and Massachusetts), on the third Monday in April, when the beginning
               of the War of Independence (more precisely, the 1775 battles of Lexington and
               Concord, two cities close to Boston) are commemorated. On this day, public

               institutions,  except  for  federal  services,  close  their  doors,  as  well  as  some
               shops; there are also various festivities, such as the famous Boston Marathon.

               However, as L'Express magazine reports, it is also a day when opposition to
               the federal government is manifested; In the last 25 years, several bloody

               attacks have taken place on this day



               –  DPR  Korea:  National  holiday;  Birthday  of  President  Kim  Il-sung
               (b.15.IV.1912 – d.8.VII.1994); also known as "Sun Day"



               1446 – Filippo Brunelleschi, Italian architect and sculptor (b. 1377)



               –  1452:  Leonardo  da  Vinci,  Italian  painter,  sculptor,  architect,  engineer,
               inventor,  anatomist,  geologist,  cartographer,  botanist  and  humanist,  was

               born;  considered  an  embodiment  of  the  type  of  "universal  man"  of  the
               Renaissance (d. 1519)



               – 1684 – Catherine I of Russia, empress from 1725 until her death (d. 1727)
               – 340 years old



               – 1707 – Leonhard Euler, Swiss mathematician, physicist and astronomer was

               born;  fundamental  contributions  in  mathematics;  creator  of  the  calculus  of
               variations (d. 1783)
