The Sweet Taste of Fairness
The Courage Within
Once in Shira Garden, there lived a kind little ladybug who al-
ways praised others but never herself. Her daughter would often
say, “Mother, have some courage and learn to appreciate your-
self,” but the ladybug always replied, “I just can’t,” she
said.
One day, the royal proclaimer announced, “The King of Shira Gar-
den has fallen terribly ill. No cure has been found!” The daugh-
ter whispered, “Mother, I know how to heal him, but I’m too
young to go. You must do it.” The ladybug hesitated, then
agreed.
She performed the ritual at the palace, but sadly, it didn’t
work. “It failed,” she said sadly. “You need more practice,” her
daughter encouraged. “I believe in you.”
With renewed spirit, the ladybug practiced every day. Two weeks
later, she returned, healed the king, and was rewarded with
shimmering nectar coins.
“It worked!” she exclaimed.
Her daughter smiled and said, “Never give up.” And from that day
on, the little ladybug began to believe in herself.
