Fluency for All - Exploring the Facts
ALL Students Can Develop Fact Fluency-- but memorization only works for SOME students!
Explore the learning progression for fact fluency and learn how to use fluency running records
to support each student's fluency journey. This presentation will show how math running
records can be used to assess fluency and develop a learning plan for students. Presenter will
share strategies for building fluency from conceptual understanding and connecting
mathematical representations.

Talk it Out! Facilitating Fun Mathematical Discourse in the
Classroom
Bringing joy to the elementary/middle level math class by merging technology and talking. We
will explore apps and ideas for gamified learning in the classroom. We will broadcast ourselves
with Flip and compete to see who can get Super Rich on GimKit. Along the way we will have
many great mathematical conversations and pick up a few tricks to take back to our
classrooms.
