Get Up, Stand Up: Learning Math in Social Networks
With 360° Math, students no longer work at their desks in isolation or in dysfunctional groups.
Every student works every problem on the walls of the classroom. The teacher is no longer at a
physical disadvantage to see the most important thing in a Math classroom...all kids showing
their thinking. With a 360° perspective on student learning, the teacher can identify
misconceptions and keep students engaged from the productive struggle to the productive
success stage. The 360° approach works with any curriculum, applies to any set of standards,
and can be put to work to immediately improve Math learning and engagement in any setting.
The 360° Model provides a framework for teachers from the moment students arrive at their
door to establish a safe and engaging learning climate that will ensure success for every
learner.
