               Lone Star With Satellites 1950s. eBay purchase 2003-2005. 77"x85½" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Light, smooth
               cotton. Backing: Deep rose pink cotton. Edge: Tape ½" to each side and caught by hand in back. Piecing:
               By machine. Quilting: By hand, white thread, 6 stitches to the inch. Quilting follows the inside edge of
               all borders. Within stars, diamonds are outlined inside the diamond on two sides and outside on two.
               Condition: Excellent. Appears unused and unwashed. Comment: I think I recall this pattern, perhaps even
               kits, being advertised in the Parade Magazine supplement to the Sunday newspaper in the late 1950s and
               early 1960s.
