Lone Star on Red Calico 1890s colors. Purchased at Snohomish, WA in 1999. 73"x75" Fabric: Cotton. Batting:
Thin cotton. Backing: Muslin. Edge: Tape machine stitched. Piecing: By hand. Quilting: Knotted in small
knots inconspicuous on either side. Condition: Good. One diamond from the innermost white circle has
torn, and one red triangle has a small tear at the tip and two small pops along a fold line. Comment: The
back is so clean that I wouldn’t be surprised if it were added some years after the star was made.
