1950s Spools 1950s fabric in the sashing. Purchased from Tacoma antique shop in 1997. 67"x77" Fabric:
Cotton. Batting: Cotton. Backing: White muslin. Edge: Back is brought to the front ¼" and stitched by hand.
Piecing: Blocks are joined by machine. Spools are pieced by hand. Quilting: Clamshell, 2" apart, 4 stitches
to the inch. Condition: The top is very good. the back has 4 holes along fold lines that I will patch before
storing. Comment: Six of the blocks are not spools. I like the wild and crazy look achieved by using the
loud print sashing.
